Using Advanced Word Searching

Advanced Word Searching in staff applications uses the Advanced Word Search syntax. The application and function determine some search criteria, such as the record type to be retrieved. The system searches the entire selected index for matches to the search criteria.

  1. Choose Tools | Search | Range from the menu bar.
  2. Choose Advanced from the subset drop-down menu.
  3. Enter the keyword(s), boolean operators, wildcards, and so forth in the text box.
  4. Choose Start.

    The system retrieves matching records and displays them sequentially.
  5. Choose Next to retrieve the next record or Stop to end the search.
