Retaining the Original Statistics Group on Renewal

When you renew an item, the system updates the OUTLOC field in the item record. By default, it replaces the statistics group number of the login used to check out the item with the statistics group number of the login used to renew the item.

However, if the Retain Stat Group on Renewal feature is enabled, you can retain the statistics group number of the login used to check out the item. To do so, you must use a login that has a statistics group number of "0" (zero) to renew the item. Note that the statistics group number of "0" (zero) does not display in the reports.
