Viewing and Editing Restricted Variable-length Fields

To view and edit manager-controlled fields, you must be assigned permission 202 (Management Field Access). See Permissions Used by Sierra for more information.

If your library uses the Manager Control feature, you can choose to limit viewing or editing privileges for variable-length fields in any record type. You can view and/or edit restricted fields in accordance with the access role you are assigned in the system.

Access Role	Description
Fields Restricted to Manager View only	Authorized staff can view and edit all restricted fields. Non-authorized staff can neither view nor edit restricted fields.
Fields Restricted to Manager Edit only	Authorized staff can view and edit restricted fields. Non-authorized staff can view restricted fields.
