Permissions for Editing Records
To edit a record in Sierra, you must be assigned permission to edit that record type. The following table lists the permissions required to edit records. 1In Serials, to access the Record tab and to edit authority or bibliographic records, you must be assigned permission 114 (Update authority records) or permission 104 (Update bibliographic records) and one of the following:
- 077 (Serials check-in)
- 088 (Claim overdue issues)
- 089 (Bind serials)
2Editing patron records in Routing is possible only if your system is configured to use the patron record database for routing. To edit patron records in Routing, you must be assigned permission 083 (Routing list maintenance) as well as 164 (Update patron records).
3Permission 078 enables you to process only invoices that you created. Permission 177 (Invoice Administrator) is required to resume suspended invoices for which you are not the owner.
