Searching Files in Data Exchange
You can search a file for MARC tags or specific data.
To search within a file:
- Select a file.
 - Choose Tools | View a File.
 - Choose Search.
 - In the Search dialog box, enter your search criteria using one or more of the following menu options:

- Choose to limit the search results according to the following:
 
| Menu option | Result | Example |

| Match Case | Returns only the data that matches the case as entered in the Search String. | Searching for "persuasion" returns "persuasion" but not "Persuasion". | 
| Match Beginning of Sub-Field | Returns all results where the Search String defined for a sub-field matches the beginning of a sub-field. | Searching for "horsemanship" returns both "Horsemanship" and "Horsemanship |b (groom)", but not "The Art of Horsemanship". | 
- To display the complete content of each search result, wrapping lines if necessary, choose Wrap Field Data.
 
To view a record included in results of a search, select the record. You can view the record in any of the available formats.
To print a record included in results of a search, choose the record and one of the following menu options:
- Choose File | Print (<default printer>)
 - Choose File | Select Printer and specify a printer.
