Freeing ILL Requests

To free ILL requests, you must be assigned permission 65 (ILL Admin). See Permissions Used by Sierra for more information.

More than one member of the library staff can process ILL requests simultaneously. To prevent more than one person from processing the same request, ILL locks each request when it is selected for processing. If you select a request that is currently being processed or viewed by another person, ILL informs you that the request is in use and prevents you from working with it. If a staff person's connection to the system is lost during request processing, the ILL request can be left in a locked state.

To free ILL requests, choose Admin | Free ILL Requests. ILL assesses all currently locked ILL requests and unlocks those that are not currently being processed.
