Each entry in the Menu options for Limit by Material Type file consists of the following elements:

Changing the Display Order of Material Types

By default, entries appear in alphabetical order in the material type limit boxes in WebPAC.

To change the display order:

  1. Select ASAA from the Function list.
  2. On the Select file menu, select Menu options for Limit by Material Type, and click Select. Sierra displays a table of material types currently used in WebPAC.
  3. Select a material type, and click Move.
  4. On the Enter target row prompt, enter the number of the row to which you want to move the current entry, and click OK. Sierra reorders the table.
  5. (Optional) Repeat steps 3 and 4 to move additional material types.
  6. When finished, click Save.

Adding Material Types

Material types are defined in the Material Types table. When you add a material type to that table, it is not automatically added to this file; you must enter it manually if you want it to display in the material type limit boxes in WebPAC.

If you add a new entry to the Material Types table, you must sign out of Sierra and sign back in before the new material type can be added to this file.

To add a material type:

  1. Select ASAA from the Function list.
  2. On the Select file menu, select Menu options for Limit by Material Type, and click Select.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • To add a material type to the bottom of the table, click Append.
    • To add a material type elsewhere in the table, select an entry, and click Insert. Sierra inserts the new entry above the entry you selected.

Sierra displays a window to input the new material type.

  1. Select a material type from the MAT TYPE list.
  2. From the Menu Offered box(es), add a label for each language enabled on your system. For display purposes, enter a space before each label.
  3. When finished, click OK. The input window closes.
  4. Click Save.

Editing Material Type Labels

You can edit existing labels for a material type if you want to use a different label in WebPAC than in the Sierra Desktop Application.

To edit material type labels:

  1. Select ASAA from the Function list.
  2. On the Select file menu, select Menu options for Limit by Material Type, and click Select.
  3. Select the material type you want to change, and click Edit. The Edit window appears and includes a text box for each language enabled in your system.
    1. Edit the material type label(s). For display purposes, enter a space before each label.
  4. When finished, click OK. The Edit window closes.
  5. Click Save.

You can remove a value from the material type limit boxes in WebPAC by deleting it from this file. When you delete an entry from this file, Sierra does not remove it from the Material Types table.

  2. On the Select file menu, select Menu options for Limit by Material Type, and click Select.
