Substitution phrases
Libraries can define up to 150 permanent substitution phrases with this option. These permanent substitution phrases are available in the regular editor when entering and updating records, and in serials and binding check-in. Each permanent substitution phrase can be of any length, can be associated with a single record type, e.g., bibliographic records, and must have a unique code within that record type. The unique code can be up to four alphanumeric characters, and cannot start with a digit.
When you select this option, a screen similar to the following appears:

D > DELETE a substitution phrase
When you select this option, Sierra asks you to specify the line number of the substitution phrase that you want to remove from the list. You must confirm the deletion before it is done.
