Holds: Number of holds before purchase alert

A purchase alert is generated by the system when the number of outstanding holds for an individual item equals the threshold level specified here. An alert is also generated when the number of bibliographic level holds equals the product of the number of items attached to the record times the threshold level. The system stores purchase alerts in the Purchase Alerts system-generated review file.
