AVS performs OR search

Setting this option to "NO" disables automatic searching with the OR Boolean operator when conducting an advanced search. By default, this option is set to "YES", enabling OR searches.

When set to "YES" and no records result that match the search criteria, the system displays a relevance ranking for items that are similar to the search criteria. See the discussion of the AVS_RELEVANCE_FORMAT Advanced Search option for more information.
