Configuring the Phone Attendant

Innovative Interfaces configures the Polaris Phone Attendant for you at installation. You will not need to change most of the settings described in this section unless your telephony hardware changes, or unless you wish to change the options you offer patrons by telephone. Each telephony server can have its own unique settings.

You use the configuration utility PhoneAttendantConfig.exe (located in C:\Programs\Polaris\[version]\Bin on the telephony server) to set up or change the Phone Attendant configuration. For your changes to be effective, you need sufficient network privileges to stop and start system services.

Important:
When you change the Phone Attendant configuration settings, you must stop and restart the service for your changes to take effect.
