Setting Outreach Patrons Options

You can set up the following patron options specifically for outreach services patrons:

• Disability descriptions - Each disability description you specify will appear as a selectable option in the Patron Preferences dialog box (Patron Status workform - Reader Services view). See Set outreach patron disability selections.
• Equipment needs - Each equipment description you specify will appear as a selectable option in the Patron Preferences dialog box (Patron Status workform - Reader Services view). See Set outreach patron equipment selections.

Note:
Disability and equipment needs descriptions are informational only, and do not affect what titles are selected for the patron or how they are delivered.

In addition, reading histories are automatically enabled for outreach services patrons because the system uses reading histories in processing selection lists for outreach services patrons. You can set limits on the length of time the history covers and the number of items it can contain that are separate from reading history limits for non-outreach services patrons.
