Polaris Leap Administration

In general, user permissions that control Polaris staff client record access and functions also apply to similar records and functions in Leap. In addition, many Polaris Administration parameters, profiles, and tables used in administering cataloging, circulation/patron services, and hold requests apply to similar functions in Leap.

Other settings apply only to the staff client and not to Leap, such as the Acquisitions and Serials parameters and profiles. Some settings, such as the Staff Client | Web App profiles and the Leap workstation-level parameters, apply only to Leap and not to the staff client.

To run the Leap application on a library workstation, a corresponding Leap-enabled Workstation record must be added in Polaris Administration. If your library uses Leap within a terminal services session, you can identify the terminal server by selecting the Terminal Server check box on the Workstation workform.
