Display announcements
If your library uses Vega Discover+, Vega Discover Premium, or Vega Consortia, you can create announcements that appear in the Vega header. You can use announcements to alert patrons to problems such as closures or issues with the availability of digital content.
You can include hyperlinks to provide more detailed explanations, workaround information, and so on.
You can only create one announcement at a time.

- From the Settings menu, select Page Customizations > Announcements.
- Do one of the following:
- To add an announcement in a new language, select + Add another translation.
- To configure an announcement in an existing language, select Configure.
- On the Header announcements page, select from the following message types:
- Notice (yellow background)
- Urgent (red background)
- Enter your message.
- (Optional) To create a hyperlink, do the following:
- Select the text that you want to use as a link.
- Select the Hyperlink icon

- Enter the URL of the page you want to link to.
- Select Save.
- Under Status, do one of following:
- To save a draft of the announcement, select Draft.
- To publish the announcement, select Publish.
- Select Save.
The system displays the publication date in the Status section.

- Under Status, select Publish.
- Select Save.

- Select the Delete Announcement icon
