Troubleshooting Access
ODBC Connectivity Issues on 64-bit PCs
On a 64-bit Windows machine, you need to install the ODBC drivers that match the reporting client you install. For example, if you install 32-bit Crystal Reports, you need to install the 32-bit ODBC drivers.
Windows has two ODBC administrator panels on a 64-bit machine; Control Panel | Adminstrative Tools | Data Sources (ODBC) is the 64-bit ODBC driver administrator. It does not display installed 32-bit ODBC drivers.
The 32-bit ODBC administrator that you must use to set up 32-datasources is odbcad32.exe. See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/942976 ("Workaround" section).
