Viewing Simulated Item Information

Innovative can provide libraries with the option to display simulated item record information in the summary box for bibliographic records that have no attached item, order or serials checkin records; simulated item record information is also displayed for a bibliographic record when all attached records have been suppressed. The information displayed is taken from the bibliographic record (e.g., location and call number). The system can also display a library-specified message as the STATUS in all simulated item records.

If there are any records linked to the bibliographic record, WebPAC displays the actual record information in the boxed window, not simulated information. If there are multiple locations in the bibliographic record, the system displays a simulated item record for each location. The system displays simulated item record information in the WebPAC but not in other functions.
