Moving Enumeration Levels

The following advanced checkin card options allow you to move the data from one enumeration level to another in a checkin card.

These options alter the enumeration levels in the entire checkin card, not just selected boxes.

Two examples illustrate why you might want to edit enumeration levels:

To move levels of enumeration:

  1. Choose Serials Checkin from the Function list.
  2. Retrieve the checkin card.
  3. Choose the desired editing function from Tools | Box Menu, Tools | Advanced Options, or Tools | Card Menu . Sierra displays the Move Enumeration Level dialog.
  4. In the From column, select which enumeration level to move up or down. In the To column, select the enumeration level to which the values will be moved.

If the enumeration level you have chosen in the To column is not empty in all of the checkin card boxes, Sierra displays an error message. Use the Update Boxes as a Group option to delete the values from the enumeration level to which you want to move.

  1. Choose OK.
