Calculating the "Current Box"
When Sierra initially displays a checkin card, the system calculates the next expected issue, supplement, or index, and then automatically selects that box as "current." The "current box" is the next box that the system will check in.
The system calculates the current box based on the Status of the checkin card boxes:
- The system locates the last "ARRIVED" box and then selects the next "EXPECTED" box as current. Note that a checkin card box that displays as" LATE" actually has a Status of "EXPECTED" and can be selected as the current box.
- If the checkin card does not have any "ARRIVED" boxes, the system selects the first "EXPECTED" box as current.
- If the checkin card does not have any "EXPECTED" boxes, the system does not select a current box.
- After you check in an issue, supplement, or index, Sierra changes the current box to the next "EXPECTED" box.
If you manually set the "current box," the setting is not retained after you exit the checkin card.
