Finding Text within a Record

While editing a record, you can use the Find Within Record feature to search for a specific string of text. This feature searches both the content of the fields and the field names.

To use this feature, do the following:

  1. In the Sierra record editor, select Edit | Find. Sierra displays the Find dialog box.

  1. Type your text string in the search box and press Enter. Sierra searches the record and highlights the first match.

  1. (Optional) Click the down button to navigate through the matches.
  2. When you have highlighted the match you are looking for, close the Find dialog box by clicking the button in the top-right corner. Sierra places the cursor in the field that was last highlighted.
