Deleting a Variable-length Field

To delete a variable-length field from a record:

1. Do one of the following:
   • Put the cursor anywhere in the field and choose Edit | Delete Field.
   • Put the cursor anywhere in the field and press Ctrl+D.
   • Highlight the tag, indicators, and field data and choose Cut from the right mouse menu.
   • Highlight the tag, indicators, and field data and press the Delete key.

Note that the Delete Field option is not active if you cannot delete the selected field, e.g., FUND or LOCATION fields.

2. When you exit the record, a prompt appears: Warning: This record was been changed. Do you want to save changes?. Choose Yes to save, No to discard the changes and exit the record, or Cancel to return to the record.
