Indexlabels Name

The Indexlabels Name file contains the names, in both singular and plural forms, that WebPAC display for each index.

Data Elements

Each entry in the Indexlabels Name file consists of the following elements:

Element Name Description
RECORD TYPE THIS ELEMENT IS PROTECTED FROM EDITING Specifies the record type.
INDEX TAG THIS ELEMENT IS PROTECTED FROM EDITING Specifies the tag of the index.
LABEL Singular form of the index name (maximum of 29 characters). WebPAC and Sierra use this value in drop-down index selections.
PLURAL Plural form of the index name (maximum of 29 characters). WebPAC uses this value in search result table headers.

Editing the Indexlabels Name File

  1. In the Select file drop-down menu of the ASAA function, choose Indexlabels Name and then Select.
  2. Double-click the index label you want to edit.
  3. The Indexlabels file is an internationalized file. If your library has been set up for more than one language, the Edit window includes separate text boxes for input of labels for each of these languages.
  4. Enter the label parameters in the Edit window, and select OK.
  5. Select the Save tool to save your changes.

The system automatically restarts all WebPAC servers running on your Innovative machine(s) after you save your changes.
