Patron self-identification prompts & examples

Your library can specify the prompts and examples for the system to display when patrons identify themselves in WebPAC (for example, to make a request or to view their own record). When you select this option, a screen similar to the following displays:

Modifying Patron Self-Identification Prompts and Examples on an INN-Reach Central Server

The Central System Administrator can set this OPAC option on the INN-Reach Central Server. This option specifies the text that the system uses in the prompts and examples that display to all INN-Reach patrons during patron verification. However, note the following when setting this option:

  • The Prompt for patron ID option displays, but cannot be set. The Central System Administrator must contact Innovative to modify this prompt.

  • The Prompt for special instructions option and its related example should not be enabled on Central Servers, because INN-Reach circulation transactions do not retain special instruction information.
