Patron-on-fly: Code is

The Patron-on-fly: Code is Circulation option is available if your library:

• creates on-the-fly records
• stores an "on-the-fly" message in the record when it is created

To create a message that identifies "on-the-fly " records, edit the Fixed-Length codes file. Create the message and assign it a one-letter code in the Fixed-Length codes file.

Using the Patron-on-fly: Code is option, assign the code to records created on-the-fly. The code's value (the message) is then stored in the field you designated with the Patron-on-fly: Allowed & field to set option.
