Notices: Fields from patron record on notices

You can have the system print a variable-length field from the patron record on the first line and/or the last line of the patron address block (e.g., the patron's university identification number or barcode number).

To select a field from the patron record to print, enter its tag (the same one-letter tag used when entering patron records, such as, b for the barcode number).

The system does not check whether you have entered a valid tag; if your entry is not valid, that additional field simply will not print.

You can also select "NONE" for either the "above" or "below" entry. These lines print as part of the patron address block and must be included in the height for that block (see circulation option Notices: Where to print Patron Name & Address).

To have the "below" entry print more than one line below the patron address, increase the height of the patron address block, e.g., if the address proper is four lines high and you want 3 blank lines before the patron's barcode, set the height of the patron address block to 8 lines.
