Browse list: show field instead of normalized entry. For indexes:

The system "normalizes" call numbers before storing them in a call number index, e.g., punctuation marks are replaced with a space, all letters appear in lower case. Call numbers that appear in a browse list are displayed based on this normalized form.

For example, a call number stored in a record as "KF 26 .F6 1970t" is stored in the index as "kf 26 f6 1970t", and appears in a browse list display as "Kf 26 F6 1970t". You can have the system display specified types of call numbers in browse lists with the same capitalization, spacing and punctuation as stored in the record, rather than based on the normalized form in which they are stored in the call number index.

Select this option to specify the call number indexes for which call numbers should appear in a browse list display with the same capitalization, spacing and punctuation as stored in the record.

When you select this option, the system displays:

Browse list: show field instead of normalized entry
Current Settings: NONE

For a call number browse list display, specify the indexes for which
INNOPAC should display the field as it is keyed in the record rather
than the normalized data used for indexing. You may NOT input the
index tags a (author), t (title), or d (subject).

Enter index tags which should display the data from the record:

Enter a list of one-letter call number index tags, e.g., 'c' or 'g'. You can use commas to separate the letters or enter a sequence of letters without commas. Press Enter while the entry line is blank to turn this option off.

Note that this option only applies to call number index tags and cannot be applied to any other index tags, e.g., 'a' (author), 't' (title), or 'd' (subject).
