Setting Up SimplyReports Security

You can add SimplyReports users, remove users, specify the level of user, and specify which organizations’ data the user is permitted to view on the Admin tab, Security subtab. When you first add a SimplyReports user, the user has access to all SimplyReports functionality and data from all branches, libraries, and systems listed in the Polaris database. To limit the user’s access to SimplyReports functionality, clear the appropriate check boxes. To grant access, select (check) the appropriate check boxes.

Note: New users are granted access to all functions and all report subtabs in SimplyReports.

Patron - The following check boxes apply to patron reports.

Export Profiles (Export Express)- The following check boxes apply to Export Express custom profiles. This functionality is located on the Export profiles subtab of the Bibs tab.

SimplyReports content administration - The following check boxes apply to editing the content that can be selected when users create reports.

Polaris to MSSQL Reporting Services link - The following check boxes apply to publishing reports.
