Polaris Administration Explorer
From the Polaris Administration Explorer, you can work with system records and set up Polaris to work in your system. The tree view on the left displays the list of organizations and resources in the Polaris installation. If you opened the Explorer at a level other than the system level, only the organizations or resources for that level and lower display. The details view on the right displays information, a table, or a tab for the item selected in the tree view. See Accessing Administration Records. Use the Administration Explorer to:
- View organization and resource information - Select the organization, workstation, or staff member in the tree view. Read-only information is displayed in the details view. To open an organization or resource record, right-click it in the tree view and select Edit from the context menu. See Use the Administration Explorer.
- Add organizations and resources to Polaris - See Setting Up Organizations.
- Manage permissions and permission group membership for an organization, workstation, or staff member - Expand the organization or resource in the tree view, and select Permissions in the expanded list. See Granting Permissions.
- Assign permissions by organization - Expand the organization in the tree view, and select Security in the expanded list. See Managing Organization Security.
- View and modify Polaris settings for an organization - See Editing Parameters, Profiles, and Tables.
