Branch Removal Conflicts Dialog Box
The Branch Removal Conflicts dialog box appears when you try to remove a collection from a branch, but the removal would cause problems in other functions of Polaris. See Review and edit collection information. Use this dialog box to resolve the problems as follows:
- Branch conflicts - Select a branch name to see the conflict details and resolve the conflict for the branch-assigned records. To remove a collection assignment from records with the conflict, without assigning an alternative collection, select (None) in the Alternative Collections list, and click Resolve. To assign an alternative collection, select the collection and click Resolve.
- Invoice Line Item Segments - The number of pieces in shipments being received that have the branch and collection combination as a destination. You can break the links and delete the collection, or cancel the operation.
- Item Templates - The number of item record templates which use the branch and collection combination. You cannot remove the collection from the branch unless you select a different collection at the same branch. This changes the collection setting in the template. You can also delete the template or change the template to a different branch with the same collection.
- Items - The number of item records with this specific branch and collection combination. You cannot remove the collection from the branch unless you select a different collection at the same branch. This changes the assigned collection for all items assigned to the collection and branch combination.
- Purchase Order Line Item Segments - The number of pieces on order that have the branch and collection combination as a destination. You can break the links and delete the collection, or cancel the operation.
- Selection List Line Item Segments - The number of requested titles that have the branch and collection combination as a destination. You can break the links and delete the collection, or cancel the operation.
- Standing Order Copies - The number of standing order An order placed with a vendor or the publisher directly for all publications in a series, all volumes in a set, or all publications of a single publisher. copies that have the branch and collection combination as the destination for the standing order parts. You cannot remove the collection from the branch until the copy records are assigned to a different collection at the same branch.
- Subscription Copies - The number of subscriptions that have the branch and collection combination as the destination for the issues. You cannot remove the collection from the branch until the serial holdings records are assigned to a different collection at the same branch.
