007–Projected Graphic Dialog Box

The 007–Projected Graphic dialog box is used to insert special information about the physical characteristics of the projected graphic. The 007 Projected Graphic dialog box is displayed when you double-click the 007 tag in the MARC Editor and the first position of the fixed field contains ‘g’.

Select from the options in the following boxes to enter data in the 006 tag for a projected graphic:

Category of material - Indicates the category of material to which the item belongs. The meanings of the remaining character positions in field 007 depend on the value in this character position.

Specific material designation - Indicates the specific material designation of the item. The specific material designation describes the special class of material (usually the class of physical object) to which an item belongs.

Color - Indicates the color characteristics of the item.

Base of emulsion - Indicates the type of material for the base of the emulsion of a photo negative, filmstrip, slide, or transparency.

Sound on medium or separate - Indicates whether the sound of the projected graphic is on the item or separate from the item.

Medium for sound - Indicates the specific medium used to carry the sound of an item, whether that sound is carried on the item itself or is in the form of accompanying material. It also indicates the type of sound playback required for the item. This character position is used in conjunction with the information coded in 007/05 and 007/07.

Dimensions - Indicates the width or dimensions of the projected graphic item. Width is given for filmstrips. Height and width are given for slides and transparencies. Only the most common dimensions are indicated.

Secondary support material - Indicates the mount material of a slide or transparency for a projected graphic.
