Set Optional Patron Duplicate Detection Fields
To specify which patron record fields (in addition to the patron name, barcode, and birth date) are checked during duplicate detection:
- In the Administration Explorer tree view, open the Parameters folder for the organization, and select the Patron Services tab in the details view.
- Double-click Duplication detection options to display the Duplicate Detection Options dialog box.
- Select the check boxes for the additional patron record fields that the system should check for matching criteria. You can select a maximum of two user-defined fields (UDFs). There is no selection limit in the other sections.
- Click OK on the Duplicate Detection Options dialog box. The Administration Explorer appears.
- Select File > Save to save your changes.
