Set the INN-Reach Request parameter for the shipping/receiving branch
Two new parameters are used to support shipping and receiving items requested through INN-Reach at either a specific central location (branch) or from multiple branches:
-
INN-Reach: Use my branch to ship/receive material - Set this option to Yes if your library does not use a central location for shipping and receiving material requested through the INN-Reach central catalog. If your library uses a central branch for shipping and receiving INN-Reach material, set this option to No, and select the shipping and receiving branch in the INN-Reach: Use this branch to ship/receive material parameter.
- INN-Reach: Use this branch to ship/receive material - Double-click the parameter to open the drop-down list of branches and select a branch to designate the branch as the shipping and receiving branch for materials requested through INN-Reach.
When the library receives material borrowed through INN-Reach, the virtual item is created with the selected branch as the Assigned branch. The borrowed material is then transferred to the patron's pickup branch. When the patron returns the material, it is then transferred back to the central branch where it is shipped back to the remote library.
When the library lends material to a remote library to fill a request placed through INN-Reach, the item's Pickup branch is the selected branch. The branch that fills the request transfers the item to the central branch for shipment to the remote library.
