Mobile channels

A mobile channel is a container for data or sets of data that will be displayed on a device for patrons to view. Mobile channels are used when displaying multiple image content, branch information, or a live webpage. You access mobile channels by selecting a corresponding button. Every active mobile channel has a button linked to it that is the entry point to open the channel.

Most mobile channels for a mobile app consist of live webpages which contain any of the following content:

• E-resources

• Events

• Booking mechanisms, for example, Book a PC

• Catalog searches

• Library services

• Lib account info

• Branch information

• Social links

To access details for each channel, select the name of a channel on the Channel Manager list.

Note: Any changes to these settings will cause the content schedule to restart on screen upon the next check-in, immediately ending any currently playing items.
