Edit the mobile app Home Screen tab

You can configure the following features:

  • When to display the search on the home screen
  • The default search criteria
  • Carousel feeds

To edit the mobile app home screen

  1. From the menu, select Mobile Apps.
  2. Select a channel.
  3. From the Mobile App Explorer, select Home Screen.
  4. Select the Edit Tab - Home Screen button.

    5. The Homescreen Settings page opens.

  5. From the Show Search on Homescreen list, select one of the following:
    • Always
    • Post-Login (the search field appears only after the user has signed in)
    • Never
  6. In the Search Configuration section, do the following:
    1. From the Search Target list, select one of the following:
    • Search all
    • ISBN Barcode Scanner

      • Library members who access the app can change the search target to search all if desired.

    1. If desired, select from the following:
    • Include ISBN Scanner
    • Include Result Indicators
  7. In the Carousel Feeds section, select Enabled if you want to display carousel feeds.
  8. In the Homescreen Carousel Display section, select from the following:
    1. Autoscroll
    2. Display type
      • Coverflow
      • Slide
    3. Homescreen title
  1. Define up to 10 carousel feeds.

    2. When enabled, the system displays the titles included in Feed 1. Patrons can select a More button to see additional feeds.

    Option

    Description

    Title

    Enter a descriptive category name. The name appears above the list of items in the feed.

    If you want to define languages for the title, select the flag and then select all available languages you want to use.

    Type

    Select the means of identifying the items. Currently, items can only be defined by bibliographic ID.

    Items

    Specify the items to include in the feed. Separate each item ID with a comma.

  2. Select Save.
