Approve or Decline a Weeding Record Set

Reviewers and approvers can approve or decline weeding record sets using one of the following methods:

Using the Approval Dashboard to Approve or Decline

Note:
To approve a weeding record set, you need the following permission:
Weeding: Approve.
To decline a weeding record set, you need following permission:
Weeding: Decline.

To approve or decline a weeding record set using the Approval Dashboard

  1. To open the Approval Dashboard, go to Utilities > Approval Dashboard.

    The Weeding Requests tab of the dashboard appears in the Active Requests view.

  2. (Optional) Filter the list of weeding requests.

    1. To filter the list by record status, select a status from the Status list.

    2. To filter by keyword, type a keyword in the Filter box.

    3. To filter the list by column, select a column header.

  3. Select the checkbox beside each weeding list you want to approve or decline

    APPROVE and DECLINE become enabled.

  4. Select one of the following:

    • APPROVE – Select this option to approve the weeding record sets. Records in the weeding record set are set to Withdrawn, or are marked Deleted, depending on the settings in the weeding template.

    • DECLINE – Select this option to send records in the weeding record set back to the original status of Pending, so staff can do more work on them.

Using the Weeding Record Set Workform

To approve or decline a weeding record set using the Weeding Record Set workform

  1. Use the Find Tool to find the weeding record set you want to approve or decline.

  2. Open the Weeding Record Set workform.

  3. Select ACTIONS for the Record Set.

  4. Select one of the following:

    1. Approve – Select this option to approve the weeding record set. Records in the weeding record set are set to Withdrawn, or are marked Deleted, depending on the settings in the weeding template.

    2. Decline – Select this option to send the weeding record set back to the original state of Pending, so staff resume work on it.
