Create an Empty Record Set

You can create an empty item, bibliographic, authority, patron, or weeding record set from the New menu in the Leap application header.

To create an empty record set

  1. Select New > Record Set.

    New Menu > Record Set

    The New Record Set dialog appears.

  2. Select the Record Type.
  3. If you selected Weeding for the Record Type, select a Weeding Template. To create a weeding template, see Create a Weeding Template.
  4. Select OK.

    Leap opens a new record set workform for the type of record you selected.

  5. Enter a Name.
  6. Select an Owner.

    Note:

    • The Owner list contains the branches where you have permission to create record sets.
    • If you selected a weeding template in step 3, the Owner field is read-only and is populated with the record set owner specified in the template.
  7. (Optional) Enter a note in the Note box.
  8. Select SAVE.
