Understanding Locked Records
When you open a record in Leap, the system locks the record so that no one else can change it. When you close the record, the system unlocks the record and allows other users to change it.
When you open a record that another user already has open, Leap displays a key icon to indicate that the record is locked.
You can select the key icon to view details about the record lock.
When you view a locked patron record, the record lock details include the patron status and patron registration locks.
For more information about record locks, including how to manually remove a record lock and how to configure your system to automatically clear record locks at scheduled times, search the Polaris staff client help for "Managing Record Locks."
